Upgrading Power Supply at Peace Haven

When Peace Haven began planning a major upgrade across their Invercargill site, NES was brought in to handle one of the most important pieces of the puzzle - ensuring every new villa and community space would have a safe, reliable, future-ready power supply.

The project involves a full overhaul of the existing electrical infrastructure, with NES managing the demolition of old supply lines and the installation of all new systems. This includes a brand-new main switchboard, upgraded pillar boxes, and new street-lighting throughout the site - laying the groundwork for a modern, efficient residential community.

A Large-Scale Project with Community Impact

Spanning 38 new villas plus a community centre, the development is being delivered over three stages. With such a significant scope, NES was selected by Maxis Projects for the second time = a reflection of the trust built through previous work and the team’s ability to deliver large, complex electrical projects with precision.

For the Invercargill community, the outcome is a big one: improved quality of living for local elderly residents and an upgraded environment that will serve Peace Haven for many years to come.

Teamwork at Its Best

The project is managed on site by Gavin & Sarah with a solid crew supporting the install, including Justin, Adriaan, Logan, Dylan, Christo, Reihana, and Kupa.

With years of experience behind him, Gavin has also been passing on a few “old tricks” - creating a great learning environment and strong on-site teamwork.

What Stood Out

  • NES was hand-selected for the supply-side contract, reinforcing the company’s reputation for delivering high-quality infrastructure work.

  • The scale of the job demands excellent planning and coordination - something the team are handling with confidence.

  • A rewarding project with real community benefit.

Once complete, Peace Haven will have a fully modernised, resilient power network supporting safer, more comfortable living for residents - an upgrade that will positively impact the community for decades.
